• Charlotte is becoming a major force

      As an alum of UNC-Greensboro (class of '06), I've had plenty of experience with the Charlotte scene when I lived in Greensboro. We would always travel down to Charlotte at least once a month since I moved down to NC in 2001. There were always some things going on but it was still somewhat more limited at the time.

   

     This has all started to change a great deal since then and has even accelerated in the last few years. There are a lot more options now in the Charlotte Scene! Charlotte is now starting to resemble a major city. The downtown is packed on just about every weekend night and a lot of Thursday nights as well. The city and surrounding areas have picked up considerably over the years. A couple of major developments have been the Epicentre in downtown in addition to the Time Warner Arena where the Bobcats play and is an awesome venue for performances. These two entries into the Charlotte area have been a big boon to the city.

   

                                                      

  The nightclub/dance/music offerings, are definitely getting on par with some other places. Offerings like Butter, Mez, Coyote Joes, Whisky River, NC Music Factory, and many others. The University area as well as surrounding areas, such as Lake Norman are even fueling Charlotte's rise.

  In addition to the usual features of great Museums, Carowinds, Lowes Motor Speedway, etc., there area a lot of new eateries and offerings in the area as well. Places like Blue Restaurant and Bar, The Noda cultural section, and few other unique outlets.

   

       

  Seeing the Queen City becoming a Queen Jewel in the south is very exciting to us. It helps lend credibility to the continued growth of the region. Unitelive.com in Charlotte will be on the scene investigating more in-depth all these offerings & happenings and reporting back to you guys. We will also provide an outlet for any businesses, talent, people, etc. to express and promote what they do and are about.
