As an alum of UNC-Greensboro (class of '06), I've had plenty of experience with the Triad scene when I lived in Greensboro. We went to Winston-Salem some but mostly stayed in Greensboro. At that time a lot of people would go out of town to either Raleigh or Charlotte to get some variety besides the usual options. There were some options there but somewhat more limited at the time.
Now, there are a lot more options in the Triad Scene! I have noticed that the scene in the area has grown a lot in the last few years since I've moved. People do go out of town some times but it's not like it used to be. There is now more variety and depth for the nightlife and socially active reveler. The music scene is thriving with a number of quality bands and groups. Winston-Salem downtown has come up a good deal in the last few years.

The nightclub/dance/music offerings, are definitely coming along thanks to old standby's and new places like Greene Street, Lotus Lounge, The Club House, Club Therapy, and others.
A lot of new eateries and interesting things in the area as well. Downtown Winston-Salem has a lot of new shops and eateries. Friendly Center in Greensboro continues to offer a lot of interesting options and Burlington area has blown up as well.

Needless to say, this is a welcome change and a great thing to see for the area. Unitelive.com in the Triad will be on the scene investigating more in-depth all these offerings & happenings and reporting back to you guys. We will also provide an outlet for any businesses, talent, people, etc. to express and promote what they do and are about.

We look forward to it!
